She was born in Chicago and lived their with her mother for five years before she passed away and she went to live with her father in California. Never did she consider herself an American because in spirit she felt she had no nationality. Ever since she was little she had been very creative and a great student.
When she was seventeen she started writing a series of books called Fay. They were based in Ireland in the ages of magic with fairies and kings and noble knights. Her books became very popular over time and by the time she was 20 people were running into stores to get the next copy. However she never felt satisfied with her life. Even if she had it all she was never happy, she felt their was something bigger for her in this world and she had the urge to go to Ireland herself and see if the answers were there.
At the age of 24 when she was out of collage she found herself with a writers block and decided it was time for her to go to Ireland and write a new book. When she first moved there she had been warned about the man who ran the lighthouse but regardless the peoples warnings she fell in love with him only to have him vanish one night. Lydia has felt lost ever since that night wondering why she feels the way she dose and slowly begins to realize that she may be living the book that so many people love.

Her books are mostly about a boy named Jack who was born to a peasant woman and a god and must save a dieing world from an evil king who happens to be his uncle. The book starts with the evil king taking over and then the second book moves onto his father and his mother. The next book in the series is about his childhood and then Knights Quest is when he is sent on his mission to save the magical world from is uncle and falls in love with a young water nymph. The Goddesses touch is the book in which Jack learns about his holly birth and his father who was the son of a goddess. Finally the last book is where he is turned into a white stallion by his uncle so that he can marry Jacks love and the book previously being worked on is mostly about Jack trying to become human again and is suppose to be the book just before the last book.
