Weshire Legend and Lore It was said that during WWII there was a very dedicated woman to the library. Young and pretty her fiancé had gone to be in the war and she worked at the library waiting for him to come home. It was in a cold December that she got the news that her love was taken by the Nazi's and had been killed.
heartbroken the librarian went into the back room and hung herself from the old chandelier. Ever since then her ghost has haunted the library taking care of the files and books and waiting for her love to return to her.

During the 1800's when the town was smaller and doctors were scarce a young girl was hit by a cart and horse and was rushed into the library for medical treatment since the nearest hospital was to far and the girl would not make it. For three hours they struggled to somehow save her but she died in the library. Her ghost now haunts the library.
She is known to follow around beautiful young women and call to them mostly crying "mommy" or saying, "hello miss". She has also been known to bother children when they try to read and spends most of her time in the children’s section of the library where some say she died. She will play games with the children or simply just talk to them as any normal child would.
