Weshire Legend and Lore They say long ago the pagans practice their magic on the hill under the holly willow tree and the full moons light. However when Ireland was taken by the Christians they hunt the witches form the willows branches. Ever since then they say you can hear the spirits of those who died here dance and sing under the full moon every month. Not only that but they say that if at night under the full moons light you pass the hill you will see many fairy folk dancing and playing marry tunes.
Some also believe that even in the modern days of now that the witches of the town gather here on holidays and cast their spells. Not many people like to stick around here in the winter due to the belief that an angry spirit lurks under the snow and tried to pull people beneath the surface. It was also thought that long ago a magical well rested at the top of the hill but was destroyed by the English when they tried to take over Ireland long ago and that the angry spirit may have lived int he very well that was destroyed.
